2021 Lexus RX Hybrid vs. Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring Hybrid

Overview

The Lexus RX Hybrid and Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring Hybrid are both fuel-efficient crossover SUVs designed to carry families in style, but the Lexus RX stands out with its power, standard safety features, and technology. Take a look at the RX Hybrid compared to the Corsair plug-in hybrid Grand Touring.

Power

You can't beat the power you get with the RX Hybrid. It uses a 3.5-liter V-6 gas engine and three electric motors that combine to generate 308 horsepower, and a CVT works with the powertrain to easily propel the RX smoothly down the road. The Corsair Grand Touring is a plug-in hybrid that uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine and two electric motors. This combination generates 266 horsepower and also works with a CVT. Both the Lexus RX hybrid and the Corsair Grand Touring Hybrid come standard with all-wheel drive.

Safety Features

You'll feel safe on the road in the Lexus RX hybrid with its long list of standard driver aids. These include a forward-collision warning system with mitigation, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beam headlights, and lane-keeping assist. A surround-view camera system is available as an option and you can also get front and rear parking sensors. The Corsair Grand Touring hybrid model also has some advanced safety systems, but the list of standard equipment is not as extensive as what you get with the Lexus. You'll get forward collision mitigation, lane-departure assist, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. To get adaptive cruise control with the Corsair, you'll have to add the Grand Touring 301A Package. Lincoln also offers the active headlights as an option for this model.

Technology

The RX comes with an 8-inch touch screen, a nine-speaker stereo system, Amazon Alexa integration, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and six USB ports. The Corsair also has an 8-inch touch screen and comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but Amazon Alexa is unavailable. Navigation comes standard with the Corsair, and it has a 14-speaker stereo system. Lexus offers some additional tech options and upgrades, such as a 12.3-inch touch screen, satellite radio, and a 12-speaker stereo, or you can opt for the 15-speaker Mark Levinson premium stereo system. Two more USB ports are also available, along with Remote Touch technology and wireless charging for your phone. The Lexus RX Hybrid stands out with its power, performance, and available tech features.
