The 2022 Lexus ES 300h is a hybrid luxury sedan and the base model for the ES series. It comfortably seats five people and offers a luxurious, stylish sedan that is great on gas mileage. Model History
The ES series of sedans debuted in 1989 with the introduction of two models that included the ES 250. The second generation debuted in 1991 and included the ES 300 series. The engine is a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder hybrid with 215 horsepower. This is a front-wheel drive vehicle with a continuously variable transmission. Fuel efficiency defines this engine with an estimated 43 mpg in the city and 44 mpg on the highway.
Interior
Although the ES 300h is the base model, it doesn’t skimp on amenities or luxury. It includes features like Perforated NuLuxe interior trim, an exclusive trim designed and sold by Lexus. Exterior Design
Striking in design, this sedan has 17-inch, alloy wheels, LED headlights, and a power sunroof. The external design has sleek, chiseled lines and comes in three different trim levels with nine different colors available. Examples include Matador Red Mica, Eminent White Pearl, Nightfall Mica, Caviar, and Sunlit Green. Each paint color has an iridescent flavor to it with a mild glow that gives this sedan a beautiful exterior.
Technology and Safety
An 8-inch touchscreen display is standard with the option to upgrade to a 12.3-inch screen, and it allows touchscreen control. Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa integration are included. The Lexus Safety System+ is now standard and offers the ability to detect oncoming traffic or motorcycles and has cruise control technology among its features.
