Will the Lexus LX be redesigned in 2025?
No, the Lexus LX was not redesigned in 2025. The 2025 Lexus LX did bring with it a new hybrid variant (known as the Lexus LX 700h), though, which is a rather noteworthy model update. The current Lexus LX generation was introduced in 2021. Considering the typical six-year model update cycle, we expect the Lexus LX to be significantly redesigned for 2027.
What does LX stand for?
While the "LX" in Lexus LX has been said to stand for "Luxury Crossover," the model is a body-on-frame SUV and not a crossover. This naming scheme was introduced in the mid-1990s, when crossovers hadn't yet evolved into their current, distinct state. Likewise, the Lexus GX stands for "Grand Crossover," as the model was introduced over 20 years ago.
Is the Lexus LX or GX bigger?
The Lexus LX is bigger than the Lexus GX, most notably in length.
