The TX 500h F SPORT Performance Premium and TX 500h F SPORT Performance Luxury models feature a 2.4L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with the Lexus Hybrid Electric Drive, which can produce 366 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. The TX 550h+ Luxury has a 3.5L six-cylinder engine with the Lexus Plug-in Hybrid Electric Drive that can generate 404 horsepower. 

Both hybrid powertrains are capable of towing up to 5,000 lbs when fully equipped. The top track speed for all three hybrid trims is 112 MPH and all-wheel drive is standard for these models. The acceleration speed for the hybrid trims is 6.1 seconds, while the plug-in hybrid can reach 60 MPH in 5.9 seconds. 

Transmission

The 500h models have a standard six-speed sequential-shift electronically controlled transmission with intelligence and paddle shifters. The plug-in hybrid has an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission with paddle shifters. The all-wheel-drive drivetrain has the signature Lexus DIRECT4 performance capability. The 500h models also have a Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management system with dynamic rear steering. 

Suspension

The 500h F SPORT hybrid models have an F SPORT-tuned independent suspension for the front and a multi-link suspension with gas-pressurized shock absorbers for the rear. The plug-in hybrid has an independent front suspension with performance dampers and a multi-link rear suspension.

Wheels

Both TX 500h models have standard 22-inch five-spoke Dark Gray and Black alloy wheels. The TX 550h+ trim has 22-inch multi-spoke Silver alloy wheels. 

Fuel Economy

All TX Hybrid models have a certified super ultra-low emissions rating. The 500h F SPORT models get an estimated 27 MPG in the city, 28 MPG on the highway, and 27 MPG combined. Lexus estimates that the full electric driving range of the TX 550h+ is about 33 miles. 

Cargo Volume

The TX Hybrid is a six-passenger SUV with plenty of space. Each hybrid model has a cargo volume of 97 cubic feet behind the first row, 57.4 cubic feet behind the second row, and 20.2 cubic feet behind the third row. This SUV offers 41.6 inches of legroom for the first row, 39.5 inches of legroom for the second row, and 33.5 inches of legroom for the third row.
